Vtech Smart Watch Review

Best device young kids can manage themselves

We've had the pleasure of playing (reviewing) the VTech® Kidizoom® Smart Watch DX here is our review. I think this kids smart watch will be on lots of Santa Lists this year.

The VTech® Kidizoom® Smart Watch DX is an even smarter watch for kids offering more fun times with games and activities! The Smart Watch DX takes learning to tell the time seriously with the clever Fun Time Master feature. There are more than 50 3D analogue and digital displays to choose between and the Fun Time Master uses verbal cues to match the display, helping kids understand the clock face and time. Kids can even customise
their own clock face and, there’s also an alarm, timer and stopwatch, plus a calendar feature. The Smart Watch DX also includes eight games kids
can play using the touch screen as well as the ability to download more from the Learning Lodge®.

VTech Kidizoom Smart Watch DX Review Vtech Smart Watch

There is one afternoon a week (if we are lucky) we go home after school at the moment so every afternoon i drag my four year old to a siblings commitment. Although shes entertained by me and a bag full of food, colouring in and occasionally a toy its usually on the edge of sanity i will hand over my phone. My work would be impossible without it so i couldn't cope if she had an accident with it.

So to have a device like the VTech® Kidizoom® Smart Watch DX is a life and sanity saver.  The ease of use for her and the amount of things it actually does is just amazing.  I think i showed her once how to use it and thats it! she had the whole thing sorted. The battery lasts for ages and i love how it has a pedometer, a stop watch and these action challenge things means she doesn't just sit she actually runs and jumps and entertains herself with it for ages. Her favourite thing is the voice recorder, she records herself singing and then plays it back to herself (hilarious). Miss four is also a BIG fan of photos and filters. To complete this review i went through the watch and checked it all out making sure i got everything.... ohh my, such lovely images have been snapped of me at sport trainings and the added filters ...delightful.
But to get her back i just downloaded and saved to my computer several voice recordings of songs like twinkle twinkle, an abridged version of baa baa black sheep and what seems to be a running commentary of a Paw Patrol episode - keeping those for the 21st!

Its a great device that entertains her a lot. She prefers to carry it rather than wear it (i think its easier for photos to carry it) but she does wear it too and I find its a great sturdy and reliable decvice to have.  It has been a great learning tool too with a clock, calendar, time learning games, games and calculator. The pedometer has been of interest too - a trip to the zoo is a LOT of steps!
We'd happily recommend this product, I think my four year old is exactly the right age for it, My eight year old does enjoy it and does use it occasionally but i think its probably more suited in the 3 - 6 age bracket.

Its available now from leading retailers with a RRP of $89.95.
