There is nowhere else on Earth like Africa and Griff Rhys Jones is taking you on a big train trip to explore it. Meet Africa's people and share in some amazing landscapes.  In his entertaining way he expressively commentates and guides you through each episode, i find him a little odd sometimes, perhaps hes just an odd fellow but tour is definitely entertaining. 

He begins with 1700 mile adventure across North Africa. It's an exhilarating journey through Marrakesh, Fes, Algeria and Tunisia to the edge of the Sahara.

He then attempts to zigzag his way 1200 miles through Kenya and Tanzania and then takes the train through Zambia and Zimbabwe, via one of the wonders of the world - the spectacular Victoria Falls.

The final episode takes him from the bustling far north of Namibia, through the renowned Etosha National Park and across the Namib Desert to the Skeleton Coast.

Its a 7000 mile journey in total with missed trips, blocked borders and mishaps. You meet some very interesting locals and see some fascinating scenes. If you like documentarys or are interested in Africa or travelling through Africa then you will enjoy this extensive documentary.
