Gluten Free Weet-Bix Slice Traditional Slice just Gluten Free

 

Traditional Style Gluten Free Weet-Bix Slice

This one is closest to the traditional version. Made by just exchanging the Weet-Bix and Flour for Gluten Free versions weet-bix gluten free slice

Ingredients

3 Weet-Bix Gluten Free crushed

1 1/2 cups Gluten Free Self-raising Flour

1 cup Desiccated Coconut

125 gms Butter

1/2 cup Brown Sugar

2 tbs Flaked Coconut (for sprinkling on top when done)

Icing

3/4 cups Icing Sugar

2 tbs Cocoa Powder

50 gms Butter

2 tbs hot water

Method

Line a slice tray with baking paper.

Mix dry ingredients together in bowl (not the flaked coconut).

Press into slice tray and bake at 170C fan forced for 20-25 minutes.

When slice is cool, ice with chocolate glaze icing and sprinkle with extra coconut.

Icing: Melt butter and add to blended icing sugar and cocoa. Mix well and gradually pour in water. Pour over slice and spread evenly.
