We visited this "Family Entertainment Centre" in peak period December 2013.  On a sunny afternoon weekend.  We found it really quite entertaining although freezing cold and loud.

The pricing options are very clear. Entry is free and "credits" are used to pay for rides.  You have to purchase a funcard at $2 which i find a bit annoying really when you're buying $50 worth of credit and live interestate so wont be back for a while but alas you need to.

All the pricing of the games are pretty clear so you know in advance how much you're going to need.  There are two levels of arcade games, some for the younger kids and then there is a good range of current games for those above eight years upstairs.

There is also a carosuel, ferris wheel, water boats, dodgem cars, mini golf and three water slides.  (there was also a jumping castle outside but i got the impression this was a tempoary thing for peak period not usually there).

We had a few games downstairs the favourites being a mini basketball game and a hummer car race game. Upstairs dad got into the ol' how hard can you hammer game (he did beat the two high scores)  and a go on the dodgems.

Then it was time to test out the water slides. Three slides all ending in the same entry/exit location which was great i didnt have to go find kids. when they got to the top of the slide which was within the minute you can see them via screens in the entry/exit location.   Apparently the slides are great!. I wished the glass had been cleaned in the viewing area so we could have got better photos of the kids coming out the slides.

Food we decided not to purchase from the well stocked cafe area.  It has all the super convienient foods but none were appealing considering we were in a food and restaraunt area which wasnt so cold, noisy and had clean tables and i'm sure better coffee.  If you had to purchase here i'm sure it would fast and efficient which is plus i guess.

The staff were all super smiley and helpful, we had a game not work after we swiped credits and they came straight away and fixed it up which was great. Staff in the lower level entry foyer were in plentiful which was handy when you dont know where you are going.

Tickets that you get on some of the games we were a bit dissapointed with the choices when you "munched" them in. we had over 120 credits and came away with two crappy water pistols and two balloons.  I'm sure they're must be millions of things for them to stock the reward shop with why have two of the same thing and balloons  for five credits each  really ?

Would we go back?  yes!  Dont think it lived up to the hype we had read about, but it was a great and fun expirience for the children 18mth - 14years. They all had great fun and would love to go back.   Me i'd love for it to be detailed there is a serious amount of cleaning to be done there.  Glad i'm not going at the end of the Summer holidays ewwww.

It is located in the restuarant beachside suburb of glenelg so it would be great to add to a day at the beach and then reward mum and dad for their patience by going for dinner :)

They have a website :www.the beachhouse .com.au  with all their attractions, pricing and information.
