Laser Navig8r Dash Cams what's available and a giveaway

Dash cams are certainly growing in popularity arent they.  Thought about getting one?  road trips, daily traffic, car parks, holidays... A camera on the dashboard would be handy.

Navig8r Dash Cam Essentials & Giveaway

Laser recently showed us their whole range of Navig8r dashboard cameras with a style and price to suit most. Lots of reasons to get one here's a couple I thought of:

  • You could record your road trip! I'm sure we've seen some cool things whilst driving far and wide alas whilst I type I can't think of any. Would be great to be able to hit record when driving through some magical locations.
  • Insurance companies seem to accept them for evidence which could help you get a decision favourably or faster on an accident. I guess it is proof of exactly what happened. Might be handy to have recording when you are parked one day, actually record the person who side swipes your car or hits your car with their shopping trolley.
  • You could record one of those unbelievable acts of skill, luck or stupidity and be a You Tube sensation. You know the videos they have on those TV shows or You Tube where you're either cringing, breathing sigh of relief or telling people about them.

The good people at Laser have been at work and come up with a pretty substational range of dash cams to suit your needs and like always your budget. I do like how they remember my budget.
The whole Navig8r Dash Cam range can be seen and purchased here through their website https://www.laserco.com.au/car-crash-camera  and they are also around in leading retailers like BigW, Harvey Norman and Officeworks.

Thanks to Laser we have one to giveaway! Have a look at all the dash cams currently available and then enter below.

Navig8r Dash Cam

Navig8r Pro X 818 Crash Camera - RRP$249.95

The 1296p Super HD Pro X 818 allows drivers to view their location on a screen map, showing roads and street names. GPS tracking captures location, speed and directional data and alerts drivers of speed cameras, red light cameras and school zones. Preloaded with correct Australian state school zone times, the Pro X 818 warns drivers of an impending change in speed upon approach. Featuring PC software, drivers can replay recorded journeys to view video, speed, location details and track the journey from Google Maps. The 160-degree wide lens captures more side detail (such as lanes) and the 16MP camera with HDR delivers clear and perfectly exposed picture quality. A six-glass element Lens optimises low light recording and improved image especially for night time driving.

Navig8r Wi-Fi X 525 Crash Camera - RRP $199.95

The Wi-Fi X 525 is an innovative addition to the range. Using a low-profile housing the 525 Crashcam takes up very little space on the windscreen, giving you more options for installation. It features GPS tracking with journey review and connects to a smartphone or tablet app via Wi-Fi to replay or view footage. Recording in 1296p Super HD resolution offers more detail such as number plates and car make/model. Drivers can transfer images to their smartphone and share via social media, calling out poor road etiquette instantly. Combined with a 160-degree wide angle lens, 12MP camera and HDR low light recording, images and video details are clear and concise, ideal for claiming road incidents.

Navig8r Cab X 717 Dual Crash Camera - RRP $199.95

The ultimate crash camera for occupant safety, the Cab X 717 is a dual crash camera, which records front and internal footage. Ideal for professional drivers such as Uber or taxi drivers, occupant recording is both a safety feature and offers peace of mind. The occupant camera would also be useful for parents who may want to monitor beginner driver behaviours (like texting whilst driving) or for companies with fleet vehicles also ensuring compliance from company drivers.

Navig8r Dual X 817 F+R Crash Camera - RRP $199.95

For an all-around recording experience the Dual X 817 Crashcam records footage at the front and rear of the vehicle by using a camera that sits on the front windscreen and another that is mounted at the rear of the car (both internal and external options are available). This allows you to capture more of the incident such as rear end collisions, drive-by’s and multiple car pile ups. The rear camera also acts as a reverse camera meaning you can see on the screen what is behind the vehicle when the reverse gear is selected. Featuring 1080p Full HD resolution, 8MP camera and HDR, the Dual X 817 delivers exceptional image and video recording. Built-in GPS tracking with journey review displays vehicle speed on screen while enabling drivers to connect to the app via Wi-Fi for viewing live image and replay saved video.

Normally reserved for high end models, this feature allows drivers to show irrefutable evidence of location, time, date, heading and speed along with the video footage. The 616 offers GPS tracking at a segment leading price point making it one of the best value dashcams on the market. My girlfriends and I from high school are now all in our 30s, have been joking about doing a version of Top Gear except instead of three middle aged men who know a lot about cars, it's three women in their 30s who know NOTHING about cars!

These would help a lot!

You see so many reports of road rage on the news these days so a good quality dash cam is pretty much a necessity. It would give me peace of mind to know I have proof if an unfortunate event were to happen to me.

I loved reading your reasons to get a dash cam. For me it would be so comforting. We've just moved from the west to the east of Aus and from city to bush. I'm driving on unfamiliar roads and most of the time I have no idea where I'm going. This would be great to have a dash cam to help get my bearings and to record our new adventure of country life we know call home.

My partner is about to get a car. She has done without one for 4 years. Soon there is also going to be a new baby on board. It's very exciting times. I would be so pleased to gift this to her to capture all the surroundings of her new ride and as protection for the people I love inside.
