Help keep your skin beautiful this winter

Healthy Winter Skin

Does your skin dry out in Winter?  Mine does everything is drier, itchier, rougher ....  urgh

Here are some tips to help your skin survive these cold winter months.

  • Drink lots of water. You need to keep up your water intake in cooler months as well as the warmer ones.  Drink warm water or herbal tea if you don’t want to drink just water.

  • Use Sunscreen. Even if its cold, if the sun is out apply sunscreen. Sunscreen should be warn everyday.

  • Protect your lips. Lips always seem to suffer in Winter, remember to put a little balm or chapstick on your lips.

  • Cover up. Wearing gloves, scarfs and hats in windy and cooler weather will help protect you skin from the elements.

  • Exercise. I know its cold. But pull on the joggers and do some exercise.

  • Dont Overheat. You don’t need to have really hot showers or baths, a warm shower or bath are just as good without harming your skin. Also wrapping up and being cosy in cold winter months is lovely but getting too hot isn't good for you or your skin.

  • Moisturise daily. You still need to moisturise in winter, make sure you apply some extra moisture to those extra dry hands, elbows and knees.

My skin suffers in this cold weather! My hands are shocking, no matter how much I moisturise. I think I might need to look into some of the oils like coconut and argan.

Great tips! My skin always suffers during winter. It's hard enough to keep my skin moisturised when I'm always washing my hands (kids are yucky!!) let alone adding the wind and chill factor and heaters sucking out the moisture.
